Punky Junky® Gel, Cera Gel was born out of a passion for creative, expressive hairstyling and a desire to provide top-quality styling products at affordable prices. Our story begins in 2005 when founder Jane Doe started experimenting with natural ingredients and formulations in her home kitchen.
Jane had always loved coloring, styling, and expressing herself through her hair. As an artist and free spirit, her hair was her canvas. However, she struggled to find styling products that gave her the perfect hold and finish without damaging her hair or breaking the bank. Determined to find a better solution, she began researching natural ingredients and started hand-making her own gels.
After months of trial and error, Jane finally created a formula she loved—one that provided superior hold, brilliant shine, and washed out easily without drying out her hair. This formula would become the original Punky Junky Gel.
Jane shared her creation with friends and family who also fell in love with the lightweight gel. They told two friends, and they told two friends, and so on. Before long, there was more demand for Jane’s homemade hair gel than she could keep up with in her kitchen!
In 2007, Jane officially launched Punky Junky as a business, moving operations out of her kitchen and into a small lab space. She perfected her original formula while expanding the Punky Junky product line to include a range of gels, waxes, pomades, and other styling products.
